What a great web site...I've enjoyed reading through the biographies and looking at the photos and am happy to add mine to the collection. After graduation, I wandered off to WSC determined to get an education, and to become less of a social wallflower than I viewed myself as being during high school. Well...I over did it...too much socializing, not enough studying and a general lack of maturity all combined to make short work of my college career--at that time. Having found the love of my life, a local Pullmanite, we settled into raising a family while continuing to mature into responsible adults. After several false starts, I took a job with the local police department, found I enjoyed it and was pretty good at it. During the next 17 years I obtained a BS in Criminal Justice and eventually became the Assistant Director of Public Safety/Police Services. (to be continued) |

I have lived in Las Vegas since 1995. My husband works as a design engineer for a civil engineering firm. I am retired and my husband plans to retire in 2-3 years. My children live in Malibu and Beverly Hills California so we are over there with our grandchildren as often as possible. We have 4 grandchildren and another on the way in June 2008. We do a lot of commuting.

Hi everybody; Well I finally retired from the Ford dealership that I worked for forty years, sure miss all the employees that I worked with. Just sold our house in Marysville and moved to Manson, WA. right in the middle of apple and wine country. What a nice spot to be. at this time there is about two feet of snow on the ground and temps of ten degrees. Looking forward to a walk down memory lane and seeing classmates. |

I have worked conintuously for the last 45 years. The last 35 years as an insurance agent. I and my husband Bill (Pinky) owned a boat shop. I married Bill Pinkerton in 1964 . His great-great grandfather started the Pinkerton Detective agency. We have a daughter and a son, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Our main recreation is traveling in our 37' motor home, riding in the dunes, and jeep trail riding. I also enjoys needlework and crafts. Both Bill and I are fully retired and are full time RVers. In 1990 I lost my sister, Arlene Hart (Shoreline Class of 1961), to breast cancer. I guess cancer runs in the family. I also had a couple of cousins that died the same way. In November of 2006 I was diagnosed with Non-Small Cell Carcinoma (Lung Cancer). I went thru 38 treatments of radiation and several treatments of chemo therapy, Lost all my hair. My hair has grown back the same as before, White and wavy. I am currently in remission , but positively will be at the reunion. |

Comment: In 1998 her husband Charles retired from Blue Cross and since a lot of our family were in Arizona, we moved there also. Our Son, now 32 went back to the Pacific N.W. as he hated the desert. Now my daughter is here with her son Cody, 8 years old. He is our bright spot in our day. Charles works for Keller-Williams Real Estate. |

The last 3 1/2 years has brought about some humbling moments. We had just finished shows on Norwegian Cruise Lines, late May 2007. June 1st, 2007 I had an accident and 7 surgeries followed. Now I am able to manage and go on with my career and life. Stardust Follies (my adult Vegas Show – it’s clean and family friendly) will return to A Victorian Country Christmas Dec.4 – 8 at the Puyallup Fairgrounds. Lavish showgirl costumes, singers, dancers & comics. Go to www. avictoriancountrychristmas.com. We opened Victorian 26 years ago and our daughter and husband took it over 10 years ago. Their 4 kids and Mom and Dad are great singers/dancers/comics. We are blessed Our 4 kids, in their 40’s & 50’s are doing well. Two grand kids have graduated from universities, 4 others are at UCLA, SPU, SU & the UW. The other five, ages 10 to 14, are active in school and keep us busy going to sporting and dance activities. If you go to A Victorian Country Christmas you will see four of them on stage performing as singers and dancers.sed with 4 kids and 11 grand children. Our 4 kids, in their 40’s & 50’s are doing well. There is no way around it, I'm old. I look like a grandpa and the check out cashier really means it when she asks if I need a hand out to the car with my groceries. On the other hand, I still feel about 36 mentally, and can do a full twisting back flip any time I see a diving board. Life has been, and still is, an exciting adventure. The emphasis keeps changing and surprises still happen. Working with my son building his first house was a gift. His idea of starting at sun up and working until dark took some getting used to, but I wouldn't trade our time together for anything. Some years ago I was unexpectedly honored by the North American Lily Society with an award for one of my own hybrids that showed the greatest advance in breeding at their international show. At this stage of life one doesn't expect special recognition by their peers, but if felt wonderful. Then a few years ago I won the grand slam and got a big trophy for "Best in Show" for one of my own hybrids. After living for 22 years on a small island in British Columbia I moved 50 miles south to Lopez Island three years ago and can't get over how much I like having electricity 24/7, a ferry, grocery store, lumber yard and even a gym. Periodically I run into Lynn Waller and have a chance to reminisce about old times in Spartanland. Wood carving and stone sculpture are rewarding hobbies these days and having a wonderful library close by keeps me well supplied with reading material. (Though I have to admit that I could probably read the same book twice and not realize it....) I'm currently putting up a deer fence for a new orchard and garden which will keep me busy pulling weeds forever. A while ago I decided on a whim to try going to a gym to see what the attraction was? Now I'm addicted and go three times a week and have visions of a former teenage self hopping around on the parallel bars and trampoline. If "Diet and exercise" can get me to the 75th reunion, I'll be there! Hope I have lots of company. |

I've been blessed with a lifestyle that has allowed me to wander and explore new interests. I have degrees in English, Business and Para Legal that I've used in self employment e.g....Property Management, Home Remodeling, Estate Liquidations, Antiques Restoration / Sales. In between things I have taken several years to slowly wander here and there. I spent my '40s climbing and teaching courses with the Seattle Mountaineers (Five Peak Pin) and traveling in my little van from the Sea of Cortes to the Arctic Ocean by way of the Bay of Fundy. In my '50's I slowly sailed from the East Coast to Glacier Bay, Alaska with my sailing partner who now lives on Whidby Island. My '60's have included wanderings in Europe, building a one room cabin along my creek and recently remodeling my 80 year old family home with the help of my brother and children. I just finished the Master Gardening Class...you have to save something to look forward to in old age! Now I'm learning about gardening with Bambi and Thumper on Whidby and discouraging Bandit here in Lake Forest Park. The last fifteen years I've been volunteering at a Charity Shop in Seattle. I enjoy the shared laughter and seeing the money raised go all over the world . My sailing parner is now in his '80's and I hope to get some of his wild stories recorded for his Grandsons next Winter... if I can get him to sit still long enough. My daughter and I recently visited Leanette's "Bassetti's Crooked Arbor Garden". We have become so inspired with her twenty five years of artistic creativity. Decided that I should have saved gardening for middle age not old age. Garden designing truly is the slowest performing art. Just keep listening for the "Different Drummer" and we'll stay "forever young". |

I spent 5 1/2 Years in the US Air Force after High School and in 1964 I was in Ramstein Germany and it was time to either re-up or get out. The reenlistment officer told me if I reenlisted my next duty station would probably be Vietnam so I decided to get out and go back to Colorado. I have been here on the western slope of Colorado ever since except for a 2 yr stay at Lake Powell in Utah. I retired after 30 Years with the US postal Service in 2000 and spend most of my free time on the golf courses in the area now. I drive part time for Telluride Express taking skiers from Montrose to Telluride in the winter to pay for my golf addiction. I am happily married to my 6th wife and am planning on keeping her for the duration of my golfing career and maybe longer if she will put up with me. we have 2 daughters with husbands and 9 grandkids within a 60 mile radius so we have fun with them. Other than golf , my wife and I have been involved in the Magic Circle Players community theater for the past 30 years acting onstage or directing or working backstage and just having fun with it. We are directing "Harvey" this next spring which will be a lot of fun and also a lot of work. We do 5 shows a year for the season which runs from Sept. to June each year.. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Until then if you are anywhere on the western slope of Colorado give me a call and I will show you some of our great country. |
