Comment: I am retired from the Real Estate business. I taugh downhill skiing for many years in Washington. I have a son and daughter and three grandchildren. My husband Mike and I traveled a great deal. His work takes him, and sometimes me, all over the world. Europe (England and France), Japan, Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand are some of the most enjoyable trips. We have a special place in our hearts for Kona and visit at least once a year. I enjoy the sport of golf and play often. My golf friends and I play Mah Jongg and cards when the weather keeps us off the course. I also love baseball and football and keep track of local teams. |
Geraldine (Gerry) Tocchini (Bartek)
Comment: Gerry graduated with the 1958 class, but she was only at Shoreline for the last 6 months so she missed the graduation pictures. " It doesn't seem possible that 50 years have passed. I left Seattle in 1960 and have not visited since then. I won't be able to attend the reunion." |

Thank you for all the work done thus far in putting together this web site. Even though I was not at Shoreline for my senior year I attended Shoreline schools twelve years beginning with kindergarten. I recognize so many people as I browse through the directory. I'm really looking forward to getting acquainted again at the reunion. |

Comment: Love my life-waiting for farm to sell to move back to San Diego with my 3 daughters and 6 grands. Miss watching Charger games in person, sorry Seahawk fans. Down to one dog and 6 horses but I prefer not to keep up the 40 acres anymore. Am in the midst of painting the 104 yr old farmhouse again, hopefully for the last time. I support our TROOPS and love the fact that I can own a 38 special. GOD BLESS AMERICA, MY FAVORITE PLACE TO LIVE. |

Fifty years? Where on earth did the time go? Every now and then the passage of time is brought to my attention from another perspective, like the day a young clerk earnestly assured me "you aren't REAL old, probably not too much older than my Grandma", which I think she meant as a compliment. (Or did she?) After graduating from Don's decades in computing have cast him as local guru, keeping our computers in tip-top shape, as well as tech help for neighbors and friends. I spend almost as much time on the computer as Don but with genealogy and sewing. Sewing machines are now computers that sew, with astounding capabilities. These machines and most aspects of sewing (e.g., quilting) have great software now. I like it all. I'm also busy with lessons and tech help for friends both for software and machines. Various projects emerge from all the software. Genealogy and photography balance this out somewhat. Of course we always enjoy contact with family and friends and are looking forward to a visit from Don's family in the fall.

After Shoreline, I attended Pacific Lutheran College for a year, and then transferred to the U of W for undergraduate and law school. After 42+ years of law practice, I have decided to retire. It was an interesting career, but it is time to relax. On May 16, 1967 I met Karen Groseth and she invited me to her birthday party the next day. After 221 straight days of seeing each other, we were married in Minneapolis in December. At the 10th reunion we were awarded the Let Us Alone Door Prize, and if we can find it, we will bring it back. We have two great kids who have been the center of our lives. Our daughter is a Coug and our son a Husky & Cardinal. Last December, we celebrated our 40th Anniversary with both kids, in the snow, at our son's home outside Boulder, Colorado. A wonderful remembrance. We have finally found the time to travel, alas not the money, but "Aprils in Paris" have become a favorite time. After all the years it's fun to go steady again with my girlfriend. I hope many of the class of "58" attend. Karen's 50th was last summer, and I noticed how old they all looked. I'm sure our class has matured much more gracefully - at least I HOPE SO. |

Comment: The past few years have been filled with retirement activities: my husband, Don, plays a lot of golf while I am spending time quilting, working on family genealogy, reading, still have a few bookkeeping clients, caring for my 100 year old aunt and traveling to Texas (our daughter, Stephanie, and her husband Devin, live in the Dallas area.) We enjoy exploring the country along the way and will be in Texas the first part of June for the birth of our first grandchild. |
